Wild in Rice is nestled in the midst of beautiful valleys, mountains and Lake Roosevelt where you can experience the wild, as well as gentle influence of nature.  People gather here to share traditions, meet people who are outstanding in their fields, and enjoy the abundant resources around us. Nestled on 10 acres near beautiful Lake Roosevelt, our farm is graced with a small orchard, flower and vegetable gardens, babbling Quillisascut Creek at our doorstep, and open fields where we watch wildlife graze.  Our farm is a natural setting for  wellness activities, retreats, and cultural events.  We also offer cooking demonstrations, farm to table dinners, and commercial food production.  See our Farm Photo Gallery.

Maureen spent more than a decade facilitating events for other groups in Seattle before moving to the country.  With a background in music, entertainment, and good food, it seemed natural to transform the farm into an inviting destination spot for people to experience cultural and culinary events.  Scott’s talents in designing and building proved to be the perfect partnership that created Wild in Rice.  Together, they strive to preserve culture, tradition and harmony: connecting us with our food, our health and well-being, and Nature.
